Researchers want to know which companies adopt the best disclosure practices in Brazil
Although it’s not an easy question to answer, market agents can help create a Disclosure Index of Brazilian Companies. Professors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Université Pierre Mendès-France (Grenoble II) and Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos are developing a Disclosure Index and need the collaboration of the capital market agents.
The application is simple. The screen displays the names of some companies and the participants should choose the company they consider to follow the best disclosure practices. The survey seeks the initial reaction of respondents. Even that the person does not know or follow the company, he/she must answer it on an instinctive basis. On the total, ten pairs of companies will be presented. The project uses the same algorithm used by Mark Zuckerberg to create the Facemash.
