FAPES joins Amec
FAPES – the Social Security & Welfare Foundation of the Brazilian National Bank for Social and Economic Development (BNDES) – is the new member of Amec – the Association of Capital Market Investors. It’s the 2nd pension fund that joins the association – the first one was Funcesp.
The joining of FAPES reflects the importance of closed complementary pension funds in the group of institutional investors concerned about governance practices and the respect for the rights of minority shareholders in Brazilian companies. It also reflects Amec’s efforts towards interacting with these important investors, disclosing our agenda and increasing the association’s representativeness.
