CODIM makes public hearing available by April 17
The Guidance Committee for the Disclosure of Information to the Market (CODIM) has made the draft on a guidance statement about the disclosure of material facts in advance available for public hearing by April 17.
The document expects to establish rules and recommendations to prevent leaks of sensitive information about the companies that can benefit some shareholders in detriment of others. Among other recommendations, CODIM suggests that companies disclose material facts outside trading hours. CODIM also discouraged the practice knowns as embargoed press releases, which consist of sharing information with the media in advance provided the information is disclosed to the market only after the stated publishing time.
The document is available here.
