ICGN and Amec join for conference in October

The International Corporate Governance Network – ICGN, an investor-led organization that works to promote good management principles, will be holding a conference in partnership with Amec – the Association of Capital Market Investors – in Miami, on October 15 and 16. The event will gather leading speakers in both the investment industry and academia, in addition to providing networking opportunities with the professionals in attendance.
According to Mauro Rodrigues da Cunha, Amec’s CEO, the association has a long-standing partnership with the ICGN, but this is the first time that the entities are jointly organizing an event abroad. “One of the main objectives of this initiative is to provide the Brazilian capital market’s participants with the opportunity to participate in the world’s most advanced discussions about corporate governance,” he explained.
Topics to be covered during the conference include, among others, climate change risks, the consequences of the rise of passive investment for corporate governance, how to integrate ESG factors into executive compensation plans and how to revitalize investments in Latin American.
As a result of the partnership, Amec’s members are entitled to a discount in their registration. The regular price is £600,00 and the association’s members pay £500,00. Members can obtain information about the procedures to get the discount sending an email to comunicacao@amecbrasil.org.br.
Amec will be disclosing additional details about the program, speakers and other benefits and partnerships related to the event shortly.
