ICGN introduces its new stewardship code
ICGN – the International Corporate Governance Network – will be introducing its stewardship code through a webinar (click here to register) on October 20th. George Dallas, Policy Director at ICGN, will be explaining the principles of the ICGN Global Stewardship Principles already approved by the network’s members last June.
Built on topics that have been broadly discussed by ICGN since 2003, the new principles highlight the importance of promoting long-term value by incorporating corporate governance factors and social and environmental responsibility in investment decisions. It also considers the role of all market participants in the stewardship ecosystem so that objectives are attained.
It’s another opportunity to become familiar with the stewardship topic, which has been definitely included in the Brazilian agenda with the launch of Amec Stewardship Code.
