Previ launches new edition of its governance code

In the closing session of its annual event, Previ launched the new edition of Previ Code of Best Corporate Governance Practices. Published for the first time in 2004, the code was revised in 2012 and now it is in its third edition. Its objective is to guide the relationships among all players involved with invested companies and foster those that share the same objectives.
“Governance generates value for all those that are part of a company’s ecosystem: investors, suppliers, society, leaders, board members, etc.,” said Renato Proença Lopes, Investments Director at Previ.
The new edition of the Code dropped the formalities and focused on the governance principles. The new edition is based on the five pillars that guide Previ’s work: transparency, sustainability, integrity, shareholders’ rights, and governance bodies.
The third edition of Previ Code is available here.
Amec collaborated with Previ through a working group that consolidated the association’s suggestions in the President Letter 7/2018.
