Robeco is Amec’s newest member. With $ 165 billion euros in assets under management, the Dutch asset manager joins the group of Amec’s international members, such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Aberdeen. Although a recent member, Robeco has been a signatory of the association’s Stewardship Code since February, 2017.
“Robeco is pleased to join AMEC, as we are convinced that our membership will increase the quality of our ESG integration process for Brazilian companies and our engagement in Brazil. AMEC has been of key importance in helping to improve governance standards in Brazil, as well as guiding listed companies in the application of good management practices in the country.  In addition, their work paved the way to an increase of foreign investor voting participation in EGMs and in the improvement of independent board members nominations,” explained Carola van Lamoen, Head Active Ownership at Robeco.
Established in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 1929, Robeco employs almost 900 people all over the world and excels for its investments in line with ESG factors. Today, $ 102 billion euros of its portfolio integrate environmental, social and governance factors.
