Survey by FGV analyzes the impact of the new Independent Auditors’ Report

Brazilian investors will start to deal with a new working tool this year: the extended independent auditor’s report. Already adopted in other markets for some years, the report brings innovations both in the form and content. Amec’s Technical Commission debated about the matter in October 2016.
The survey conducted by Thiago Matos, master’s degree student from the University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and CVM’s accounting standards area analyst, in partnership with Ricardo Lopes Cardoso, from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-RJ), seeks to identify the impact of this new report for financial statements’ users. The survey includes a questionnaire to be answered by those who use this information in their work.
